Therapy
InterCommunity provides a wide range of different types of therapy to adults living with a mental illness and/or addiction disorder, including group, family, and individual therapy using evidenced based practices (researched interventions which have been proven effective for specific issues).Therapy at InterCommunity is client centered and recovery oriented meaning clients are empowered to work with therapists in determining the goals, frequency, and length of treatment.
Working collaboratively, clients at InterCommunity gain the insight, skills, and support needed to overcome their challenges and regain a sense of happiness, hope and success. Because people enter services at InterCommunity in various stages of readiness for recovery, InterCommunity does its best to support clients at the level of intensity that suits them best. Options for frequency of service can vary from weekly groups, to less frequent individual therapy, to "walk in" groups for those who are not able or ready to attend regularly scheduled therapy appointments.
