Intercommunity Child Services

Committed to expanding services across the life spectrum, in June 2008 InterCommunity was licensed by the Connecticut State Department of Children and Families to begin an Outpatient Psychiatric Children's Clinic, serving children ages 3-18 and their families. The Children's Clinic opened its doors in August 2008, and is located on the second floor of our 281 building. We accept most insurances, both state and private. The Children's Clinic is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. Friday 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.

The Outpatient Psychiatric Children's Clinic provides an extensive array of services, including diagnostic evaluations, individual, group therapy, family therapy and medication management services. The program also provides consultation to schools and other agencies involved with the child and family, as well as trainings and workshops for schools and other agencies upon request. The clinic celebrates the cultural diversity of all children and now has five bilingual Clinicians available.
