Our community-based services help young adults ages 16-25 struggling with mental illness. These programs help clients and their families/support systems navigate mental health services and the transition into adulthood.

Young Adult Programming services:

InterCommunity Health Care provides several services for young adults (16-25) to help them: 


  • Build constructive and meaningful relationships and support systems 


  • Understand, seek help for, and maintain their mental health 


  • Build skills to be productive members of society 


Clients and their families can receive services regarding health, family advocacy, case management, education, peer support, and job support. Treatment teams help clients with housing, schooling, building community, and meeting their basic needs. This includes their social, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs.


Clients can access care right in their community, at our clinics, or through our residential programs.

CT STAY STRONG:

CT STAY STRONG provides community support, employment resources, and peer supports to transition young adults ages 16 to 25 who are at risk for significant behavioral health disorders. This program engages a team of wraparound staff that aids clients in building constructive relationships and support networks. Wraparound planning can address home and school needs, community connection, and social, emotional, or cultural needs. Clients receive services 2-3 times per month.

Young Adults Services (YAS):

Young Adults Services (YAS) provides community support, employment resources, and educational support for young adults ages 18 to 25 who require more frequent contact with program staff. Clients receive services 2-3 times per week. Young Adult focused groups as well as a dedicated Young Adult space are available to clients.
