“In Their Own Words” Exhibition at InterCommunity Gallery

October 23 – January 23, 2026 | InterCommunity Gallery, 287 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06118

Let art and storytelling move you in "In Their Own Words,” an inspiring group art show featuring the exceptional talents of 20 local artists. Featuring museum-quality works that range from vivid and bold to delicately textured, the show seeks to highlight art’s unique power to tell a story, evoke emotions, and heal both the artist and the viewer. This exhibition aims to uplift the voices behind the art, highlighting the healing power of creativity and community with an interactive component: Gallery goers can scan a unique QR code next to each piece to listen to the artist’s story firsthand.


This free exhibition is open to the public October 23, 2025 through January 23, 2026 and is located at InterCommunity Gallery inside the InterCommunity clinic at 287 Main Street in East Hartford. 3rd Annual Hartford HealthCare Medical Mission at Home

November 8 | 9 a.m.-2 p.m. | Hartford Public High School, 955 Forest Street Hartford, CT 06105

InterCommunity Health Care will join several other community health and wellness organizations at Hartford HealthCare’s 3rd Annual Medical Mission at Home, an event offering free medical services for adults and children, including health screenings, behavioral health services, lab tests, vaccines, prescriptions, and more to the community. This event will provide a meaningful opportunity for residents to receive the care they need, especially for those who may not currently have a primary care provider. InterCommunity will be onsite to coordinate appointment scheduling for our clinics to connect residents to care as well as provide information and resources about our programs and services.
