Services

Our Employment Services program helps individuals dealing with behavioral health or substance use disorder challenges build employment and pre-employment skills.

Employment services offered:

The Employment Services Department at InterCommunity offers comprehensive support to individuals seeking to reenter the workforce, regardless of their behavioral health or substance use status. Our zero-exclusion programs ensure that everyone has access to the resources they need to succeed. Services include:


  • Vocational Planning:
  • Assessing interests, skills, and abilities needed for employment.
  • Job Seeking Skills:
  • Resume writing.
  • Cover letter assistance.
  • Interview preparation.
  • Guidance on disclosure skills.
  • Job Development Skills:
  • Networking with local employers.
  • Using search agents to identify job leads.
  • Entitlements and Work Incentive Programs:
  • Education about entitlements and how employment may impact benefits.
  • Educational Support:
  • Assistance with pursuing education, including GED programs, college, and certificate opportunities.
  • Job Placement and Follow-Up Support:
  • Providing ongoing assistance to help individuals secure and maintain employment.
