What are my options for Addiction Recovery at InterCommunity Health Care?
Care that meets you where you are
For someone struggling with substance use, asking for help can be the hardest step to take; and knowing where to start and who to turn to can feel overwhelming. At InterCommunity, we're here to be that first step. We know recovery looks different for everyone and that people deserve compassionate, accessible whole-person care no matter where they are in their journey.
Our addiction recovery services offer a continuum of care designed to meet people where they are, from medically monitored withdrawal and residential treatment to outpatient services, medication-assisted treatment, and ongoing recovery support.
Withdrawal Management
For some people, the first step toward recovery is safely getting through withdrawal. InterCommunity’s Withdrawal Management program provides medically monitored care for adults experiencing withdrawal from substances including alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, and cocaine. Our team provides around-the-clock support in a safe, structured environment, helping individuals stabilize physically and emotionally while preparing for the next step in their recovery.
Residential Treatment and Recovery Support
After withdrawal, some individuals benefit from a more structured treatment environment. InterCommunity offers several residential programs designed to provide stability, support, and the tools people need to build a foundation for lasting recovery.
Our residential services include specialized programs for people with different needs, including individuals living with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, pregnant and parenting women, and adults who benefit from a structured recovery environment. Our programs focus on more than recovery from substance use; individuals can also receive support with behavioral health, relationships, employment, life skills, and support to overcome other challenges that can affect their ability to maintain recovery. Outpatient Services
Recovery is a life-long, ongoing journey, and completing residential treatment is likely only the beginning for many. For many people, continuing with outpatient care provides an important bridge between intensive treatment and greater independence.
InterCommunity offers Intensive Outpatient and Extended Outpatient services that may include individual and group counseling, relapse-prevention education, family therapy, and ongoing recovery support. These services allow individuals to continue working toward their goals while living in their communities and maintaining their everyday responsibilities. Medications for Substance Use Disorders (MSUD) Treatment
For some individuals, medication can be an important part of their recovery. InterCommunity provides medication treatment for substance use disorders, including opioid and alcohol use disorders. Medications such as buprenorphine and naltrexone can be combined with counseling and other supports to help individuals manage substance use and work toward long-term recovery.
InterCommunity also offers Low-Dose Buprenorphine Induction (LDBI), a specialized approach that gradually introduces buprenorphine and can help people who use fentanyl transition into treatment while reducing the risk of experiencing difficult withdrawal symptoms. A Path Forward -- Recovery for the Whole Person
Substance use doesn't often stand alone. Mental health, housing, employment, relationships, transportation, food security, and other factors can all affect a person's ability to achieve and maintain recovery. That's why InterCommunity takes a whole-person approach to addiction recovery. Our integrated services allow individuals to access support for both substance use and other challenges that may be affecting their health and well-being.
Whether someone is taking their first step toward recovery, transitioning from residential treatment, or looking for ongoing support, they don't have to navigate that path alone. At InterCommunity, our goal is to meet people where they are, provide compassionate care without judgment, and help each person move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Recovery is a journey; and wherever you are on that journey, InterCommunity is here to help.
