InterCommunity Announces FQHC LA Designation

Exciting news for InterCommunity! Effective March 1, 2015 InterCommunity has been designated a Federally Qualified Health Center Look Alike- FQHC LA by the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration.

FQHC LAs qualify for enhanced reimbursement from Medicare and Medicaid, as well as other benefits. FQHC LAs serve an underserved area or population, offer a sliding fee scale, provide comprehensive services, have an ongoing quality assurance program, and have a governing board of directors that includes those who are served by the health center.

This a huge accomplishment for InterCommunity and the future of the organization. Congrats to the primary care team (pictured below) and all those involved with this tremendous undertaking!
