On May 14, 2018, InterCommunity sponsored an Addiction Forum in conjunction with MCC’s Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counselor (DARC) program.  The event, held at the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium at Manchester Community College, featured  Shatterproof  and an informative discussion about addiction and the importance of eliminating the moral stigmas that present a barrier to recovery for so many people. Presenters included Gary Mendell, CEO and founder of Shatterproof, Kimberly Beauregard, President and CEO of InterCommunity, and Miriam E. Delphin-Rittman, the Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

Let’s keep the conversation going….Connecticut and the rest of the nation are experiencing the tragedy of overdose and addiction on a daily basis!
