Light Up the Night: An Evening to Give Back

July 27, 2026

Mark your calendars for Friday, October 16, 2026—because this year’s Light Up the Night Gala will be brighter than ever! This year's annual Signature Event will be held at the Hartford Marriott Downtown. A new venue, a new date, our same mission.

This isn’t just a fancy night out (though we promise there will be delicious food, dancing, and fun!) Light Up the Night is about something much deeper: coming together to ensure that everyone in our community has access to the care they need, whether that is physical care, mental health services, addiction recovery, wellness programs, or all of the above. Every ticket purchased, every table sponsored, and every dollar raised goes directly toward expanding care for children, families, and neighbors across Greater Hartford and beyond.

What to Expect

Guests will enjoy:

  • Cocktail hour & time to connect with new and old friends;
  • Plated dinner service;
  • Live entertainment & dancing;
  • A silent auction with some truly one-of-a-kind items; and
  • Inspiring stories and an awards ceremony honoring local leaders making an impact.

Stay tuned for special announcements about our emcee and award honorees.

Honoring Our Partners

Our generous supporters make this event - and our work - possible. Our donors are true partners in our mission and we are honored to collaborate in the collective goal to increase access to high-quality health care for individuals and families in our state. In the last year, InterCommunity was able to serve more than 8,000 children, adults and families and provide over 150,000 services to patients regardless of health challenges, life circumstances or the ability to pay.

Why It Matters

InterCommunity began as a small nonprofit offering behavioral health services. Today, we have more than 350 employees providing a full range of care that uplifts thousands of lives each year. Your support helps these InterCommunity operations continue and expand:

  • Three (3) Whole-person & whole-family clinics (in East Hartford, Hartford, and South Windsor) with same-day access to physicians (PCPs) and mental health specialists
  • Eight (8) Residential Treatment Centers for various levels of Substance Use Disorder/Severe Mental Health issue
  • Eleven (11) School Based Health Centers (East Hartford & Manchester schools) for students so parents don’t need to leave work to ensure their children get the health care they need
  • Over 20 Community Based Services (throughout Hartford County) including care coordination, employment services, social club, justice involved supports, transportation, and 24/7 crisis response.

By purchasing a ticket, sponsoring a table, bidding at the silent auction, or simply giving a donation, you’re doing more than enjoying a great night out. You’re helping us keep our promise: to provide high-quality, affordable healthcare to everyone who walks through our doors, no matter what.

So, let’s gather on October 16 to celebrate and make a difference. We can’t wait to see you there and light up the night for whole-person health care together!
